T.S Srinivasan centre for rural training (CRT) was founded by TVS ES (TVS education society) in 1997, at Hosur, Tamil Nadu to train the small and marginal farmers in organic farming practices that are eco sensitive and do not destroy the earth’s resources.
The centre advocates integrated organic farming as a more sustainable alternative to modern agricultural practices which require unsustainable inputs like high cost fertilizer and pesticides.
In the year, 2013, TVS Organics Pvt. Ltd. was established (as a part of CRT) to support farmers in marketing of organically produced products.
TVS Organics aims at training small and marginal farmers in organic farming practices with the objective of improving the economic status of farmers through the marketing of organic produce to urban customers. Vegetables, Fruits,cerals, pulses, millets and various other products are cultivated on contract basis from the farmers located in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts of Tamil Nadu.
To promote organic farming as a holistic, sustainable alternative to modern agricultural practices that have depleted and poisoned the earth's resources.

Organic food protects humanbeings from heart disease and cancer as they contain phenolic compounds which helps in building strong immune system, preventing from diseases and curing from illness thus helps to lead a healthy life.
Studies have shown that organic food products/ fruits are sweeter/ nutritional and are tastier, better in quality as compared to the food products which are grown with chemical inputs.

TVS Organics has strong team of graduates and post graduates in Agriculture / Horticulture as Agri extension team.
Extension team works very closely with the farmers on day today basis in order to guide, train and verify the organic production and practices.
The team also works closely with the organic inspection and certification agency to comply with organic certification standards.
